Touches Krajina (touches of the ends of territories).

Somewhere in the hilly Balkans, the northwest of Bosnia, south from the Sava River, the climates of the Mediterranean interweave over Dinarides and Pannonian Basin, and they have been connecting people and cultural differences from ancient times, as well as the traditional cuisines. In the year of 1054, when the division of Roman Empire occurred, the western and eastern civilizations encountered in a southern part. Then, there were catholic and orthodox Christianity, as well as hundreds of years later Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman “Krajina” and many former Slavic country creations and European boundaries. The city of Banja Luka, known among the people as a beauty of Krajina, is a geographic center of Krajina and the administrative center of the Republic of Srpska. Forests and rivers are in an ecological environment, there is a regular continental climate and a minor rate of street criminal and economic and chemical activities. Many centuries lasting tradition of rakija, beer, cheese and meat production and enjoyable consumption of those, convince us that the natural and local resources are regular gastronomic challenges. We know that the food quality standards are on a high level, and there are already known modern contents for festival, adrenaline, sport, health and religious tourism: Kastel festivals, sports, Vrbas River, Prijedor – Kozara, Sana River, Spa Laktasi, Spa Mljecanica…. Mrkonjic Grad, Balkana, Krajina.. which have been, for a long time, options for “various demands of a planetary guest”. Encounters with traditional delicacies are granted over a year, and we always hope for a pleasant weather. Welcome to the Krajina countryside.

LILAnje, the fire starting in sunset on the hill tops is a custom dating from local Illyrian tribes (BCE) that later was defined in accordance with Julian calendar as a Peter’s Day Eve, that is July 11th according to the Gregorian calendar.
During the season, ECO maintains forest trails and collects wooden waste that is burnt once a year. There have been various scenarios in the past 14 LILAnjes, but the constant things are fireworks, drinks, food & Pink Floyd, as well as hundreds of satisfied visitors, friends and associates of the Oglavak tradition. — u: Jovića Oglavak.
